To create a new page on your WordPress website, visit the admin dashboard, then select the Pages > Add New option from the menu.
Pages are different from posts. Pages represent a static location on your website that might include regularly acccessed resources and links. Examples of a useful page wold be an About page or a Contact page.
Posts are typically single articles that aim to convey a particular message. Posts are usually dated and published more often than pages. An example of a post would be this post – “Creating a new WordPress page”.
Pages represent the skeleton of a website, whereas posts are the meat. Posts can be published or deleted without affecting the rest of the site unlike pages, which usually contain important information.
A typical blog might only have a few pages, but many posts.
A government website would probably have many pages but few posts.
